How do you keep track of baby milestones? I have been so busy with this last move that I completely have forgotten to journal each day and write down silly things each of the kids have done. When I got the opportunity to work with Milestone Baby, I was a little more than ecstatic because those cards are so darn cute y’all!
When we got them first, the kids and I spread them all out to read and find which ones my littlest Peach had hit so far! Ugh my heart tore a little seeing that not only was she not even close to a newborn anymore, but she also was getting so big too fast for my mommy heart! Why do they have to grow so fast these days?
So I made the goal to journal…
I will be honest it is HARD. At the end of the day when the kids are finally in bed and asleep, I just want to watch netflix with my husband and relax. On “work nights” when I stay up answering emails or recording a hair video or what not, I crash after and realize another day went by without me journaling. Now every Sunday I have sat down when the kids go to naps after church and I journal that weeks little adventures. Does anyone else have tons of sticky notes full of those funny things the kids say?
I have a small tote with fun things the kids have said to me because one day I will forget and they will use “proper english” and not this cute little backwards sentences they use right now.
My March Goals have been:
-Write down all the adventures we go on each week
-Finally go through all of the kids clothes and box up what they don’t fit anymore (ugh it hurts to think they are getting big guys!)
-Clean the kids rooms out of old toys they down play with anymore to the minimal
-Record pictures of my littlest peach and all the Milestones she has made it to. (yay and NOOOO!)
-Explore the nature trail outside and collect things for our treasure baskets
-Finally clean out the diaper bag that has been overpacked (cheerio crumbs anyone??)
And so much more I am sure will come as the month draws closer. So my challenge to you moms out there finding it hard to find time to journal, make a bullet journal to record everything- especially your little ones Milestones! It has become one of my favorite things in order to jot down quick notes and later go back to write about that event. My Favorite example of making a Bullet Journal is from Creative Savings where she lays out the most organized way (mine is all over the place but I love this idea!)
It has been fun to look back how things have changed and begin going even fourth back to things I should have journaled but just write a small note. (I am now beginning to journal it all :D)
There you have it ladies! Tell me your secrets and how you journal! Do you use your phone, pictures and write a note by them, scrapbook? I want to know! Thanks for stopping by as always and reading my rants!
This post was sponsored by Milestone Baby but of course all opinions are my own! I love them!
