How are you prepping for the holidays? I am staying here with my little family this year and preparing a small thanksgiving dinner. It will be little sad to be just our family again but we love making the best of things and being creative for the holidays when we get the opportunity to do so. Besides, doing the meals, cleaning the house, and all the little things we do here, I love planning hairstyles for the holidays!
So I have been obsessed with combination braids lately and love wearing them for everything. This tutorial was REALLY messy and not the best thrown together braid but it makes sense…I hope! Haha.
Step 1: Begin Dutch Braiding the mohawk section until the crown of the head.
Step 2. Towards the middle of the dutch braid transition into a fishtail braid and tie off with elastic.
Step 3. Section off the sides and fishtail braid them backwards and pull apart the braid from sides.
Step 4. Wrap around to the opposite side and pin under the bottom. Repeat with other braid.
Step 5. With the left over hair I like to fishtail braid around the center braid.
Tie an Elastic at the bottom and it will naturally loosen a bit. But it will look PERFECT!
What are your favorite inspirations for braids? Do you love the messy styles best? Do you struggle to braid because of length of hair? What is your biggest struggle in doing your hair? (Besides time!)
